Why are we adding CFIHOS Entities?
There are several reasons for this important update:
- CFIHOS Entities are an essential part of the CFIHOS standard. With them, our CFIHOS representation will be more complete.
- These entities cover commonly used concepts such as site, plant, area, and more — all of which are essential in engineering and operations.
- Their addition allows us to retire the temporary CFIHOS 2.0 Meta Ontology, which was used as a placeholder. The new setup will be more accurate, self-explanatory, and easier to maintain.
This update makes our CFIHOS representation more complete, more transparent, and better aligned with the original standard.
