What has changed?
The current IDO ontology is now hosted at: https://posccaesar.org/ontology/lis14/ont/core instead of: https://rds.posccaesar.org/ontology/lis14/ont/core
The ontology identifier itself has not changed and remains: http://rds.posccaesar.org/ontology/lis14/ont/core
The same hosting change has been made for the current, unversioned PLM ontologies previously hosted under rds.posccaesar.org. Requests to the old unversioned IDO and PLM locations on rds.posccaesar.org will redirect to the new locations.
Versioned releases are unchanged
Versioned releases of IDO and the PLM ontologies remain available on rds.posccaesar.org as before.
For example, IDO 4.0 remains available at: https://rds.posccaesar.org/ontology/lis14/ont/core/4.0/
Machine-readable RDF access
IDO and the PLM ontologies remain available in machine-readable RDF formats, including Turtle, JSON-LD, TriG, and N-triples.
The main change is that RDF access to the current, unversioned ontologies now requires authorization. Content negotiation is supported, but requests for the RDF representations must use authorized access.
We support authorization at both individual user and application level. You must be registered with the correct access-role in our system in order to gain access, and the registration and usage is free.
If an existing integration has stopped working after the change, please contact us at [email protected]. We can help set up access and troubleshoot.
What about rds.posccaesar.org?
rds.posccaesar.org remains available, and other existing content hosted there is not affected by this change. Over time, we plan to move parts of the documentation to other services in the PCA ecosystem, such as docs.posccaesar.org.
If there is specific content on rds.posccaesar.org that you rely on regularly and want to make sure remains available, please let us know.
