DEBYE TEMPERATURE

Definition A <DEBYE TEMPERATURE> is an <IndirectProperty> that refers to the <TEMPERATURE> of a crystal's highest normal mode of vibration, i.e., the highest temperature that can be achieved due to a single normal vibration. It is calculated as Theta_D = h~.omega_D / k where k is the <BOLTZMANN CONSTANT> and h~ is the <PLANCK CONSTANT> , divided by 2.pi, and omega_D is a <DEBYE ANGULAR FREQUENCY>
