IMPULSE TURBINE
Definition
An <IMPULSE TURBINE> is a <TURBINE> that contains a high pressure impulse wheel, followed by intermediate and low pressure reaction blading, mounted on a drum-shaped rotor, in which a fluid drives the wheel chiefly by its kinetic energy; there is no pressure drop in the blading , only in the nozzles.
