An <INTERCOOLER> is an <ARTEFACT> and a <COOLER> and a <FLUID CONTAINER> that is an apparatus for cooling gas heated by compression, esp. before it is compressed a second time as in a multi-stage compressor or in the cylinders of a super-charged combustion engine
