<OPTICAL DENSITY> is a <Property> that is a measure of the <TRANSMITTANCE> of light of a specified wavelength calculated as A_10(lambda) = -lg (tau(lambda)) where tau is the transmittance at given wavelength lambda. Defined in ISO 80000-7 (2008) 7-23.1
