The reflector is made from electrically conduction glassfibre or aluminium. The feedhorn is the termination point of the coaxial cable or waveguide from the radio equipment. The antenna directivity is normally high, and is a function of the reflector diameter given as a number of wavelengths. Typically used for radio link and satellite applications for frequencies above 1 GHz.
