POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE
Definition
A <POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE> between two points in a circuit is a <Property> that is the work done in moving unit charge (i.e. one coulomb) from one point to the other. It is calculated as: V_ab = integral_ra^rb (E + delta.A/delta.t).dr where E is <ELECTRIC FIELD STRENGTH>, A is magnetic vector potential, t is time and r is position vector along a given curve C from point a to point b. Defined in ISO 80000-6 (2008) 6-11.2
