Definition
A <QUILL-SHAFT COUPLING> is a <FLEXIBLE COUPLING> designed to accommodate angular misalignment, parallel (or lateral) offset and torsional fluctuations by elastic deformation of a relatively long slender shaft. <NOTE Q>uill-shaft couplings cannot normally accommodate axial displacement.
