Definition
A <TANDEM MECHANICAL SEAL> is a <MECHANICAL SEAL> that is an arrangement of two mechanical seals mounted in series by which the inner seal retains the product and the secondary or outer seal retains a buffer fluid at a pressure lower than that of the product.
