The class 'stream' is intended to be used for flows of material or energy, in accordance with conventional use. There is an abundance of cases where use of the term "stream" can be called into question, as in, is a stream of electricity really moving; how many cars are needed to participate before it is properly called a "flow" of cars; while a flow of sand is a stream, maybe a succession of rolling rocks would not qualify.
