Definition A <NON-ALLOY STEEL> is a <STEEL>l which has a laddle composition of elements of which for the minimum value, none of the following elements reached the identified limit/boundary values in % by weight: Aluminium (Al) 0.10 Boron (B) 0.0008 Bismuth (Bi) 0.10 Cobolt (Co) 0.10 Chromium (Cr) 0.30 Copper (Cu) 0.40 Lanthanides (each) 0.05 Manganese (Mn) 1.65 Molybdenum (Mo) 0.08 Niobium (Nb) 0.06 Nickel (Ni) 0.30 Lead (Pb) 0.40 Selenimum (Se) 0.10 Silicon (Si) 0.50 Tellurium (Te) 0.10 Titanium (Ti) 0.05 Vanadium (V) 0.10 Tungsten (Tu) 0.10 Zirconium (Zr) 0.05 Others (except Carbon (C), Phosphorus (P), Sulphur (S), Nitrogen (N)) 0.05 Where for elements other than Managanese a maximum value only is specified, a value of 70 % of this maximum value shall be taken for classification. For Manganese, if the maximum value is only specified than (a) the limit/boundary value is increased to 1.80 % by weight and (b) the 70 % rule does not apply. Where elements are specified in combinations of two, three or four and having values less than those identified above, the limit value to be applied for classification is 70% of the sum of the individual limit values shown above for two, three or four elements concerned
